Mini Load System

● The system contains conveyors, stacker crane, racking, WCS, WMS.

● Only for light duty plastic totes, boxes or cartons.

Products Description

Mini Load Stacker Crane ASRS automatically stores and retrieves plastic totes, cartons and boxes using an aisle-based stacker crane. It is intended for small unit loads rather than pallets and can connect high-density storage with picking, sorting or production areas.

Unistar integrates the racking, stacker crane, conveyors, WCS and WMS as a complete system. The current Mini Load System can be designed to a height of up to 15 m, subject to building and project conditions.

Carton Flow Racking

Mini Load Stacker Crane ASRS Operating Process

  • Totes enter the system through an inbound conveyor.

  • Identification and dimensional checks can be completed at the entry point.

  • The conveyor transfers the tote to the stacker crane.

  • The stacker crane moves horizontally and vertically within the aisle.

  • The load-handling device places the tote in the assigned location.

  • Retrieval orders follow the reverse process.

  • WCS controls equipment tasks.

  • WMS updates storage-location and inventory data.

Design Parameters of Mini Load Stacker Crane ASRS

  • Load units must have consistent external dimensions and stable bottoms.

  • Tote weight and dimensions determine the load-handling device.

  • Single- or double-deep storage can be evaluated.

  • Crane quantity depends on aisle count and throughput.

  • Conveyor routes must connect storage with picking or production.

  • The floor and rack structure must meet crane alignment requirements.

  • System availability and maintenance access should be included in the layout.

  • Fire protection and building interfaces require project-specific coordination.
