Products Description
Pallet Flow Racking System
Pallet Flow Racking System is a high-density storage solution designed for First-In, First-Out (FIFO) inventory management. Ideal for operations with large volumes and a limited number of SKUs, this Pallet Flow Racking System maximizes storage capacity within a compact footprint.
Using slightly inclined roller or wheel tracks, pallets automatically move from the loading end to the picking face, ensuring efficient stock rotation. This gravity-driven design not only speeds up handling but also reduces labor and equipment costs, making it an excellent choice for high-throughput environments.
Key Advantages of Pallet Flow Racking System
Maximize Storage Density
Pallet Flow Racking System is a high-density storage solution that makes the most of your available floor space—often doubling capacity compared to traditional static racking systems.
Efficient FIFO Inventory Rotation
This Pallet Flow Racking System fully supports First-In, First-Out (FIFO) inventory flow, making it ideal for perishable or time-sensitive goods that require precise stock rotation.
Time-Saving Design
All SKUs are accessible from a single picking aisle, minimizing forklift travel time and speeding up pallet retrieval.
Separate Loading and Unloading Zones
Loading and picking take place on opposite ends, allowing forklifts to operate without interruption or interference—boosting both productivity and safety.
SKU Flexibility
Each lane is dedicated to a single SKU, but different SKUs can be stored across multiple lanes, offering flexibility in inventory management.
Energy Efficiency
In cold storage facilities, pallet flow racking reduces the volume that needs to be cooled, helping lower energy consumption and operating costs.
Reliable and Safe
Engineered for performance, systems pallet flow racking are built with safety and durability in mind to ensure smooth, risk-free operation for both goods and operators.
System Highlights
Up to 2–10 pallets deep per lane
Doubles storage capacity compared to conventional racking
Boosts productivity by reducing travel time between aisles
Perfect for FIFO inventory and date-sensitive products
Higher cost per pallet position, but offers superior efficiency
Requires additional vertical clearance per level due to gravity flow design
How Does a Pallet Flow Racking System Work?
Pallet flow racking typically uses opposite aisles for loading and picking. The system is designed to support a First-In, First-Out (FIFO) inventory rotation.
Forklift operators load pallets from the rear (loading side) of the system.
Pallets then move forward automatically along inclined roller tracks to the picking aisle.
At the front, forklifts retrieve pallets as needed.
As one pallet is removed, the next one automatically advances, keeping the pick face constantly replenished.
The flow lanes can be easily integrated into standard pallet rack frames, but choosing the most effective pallet flow configuration depends heavily on your product dimensions, load weight, and pallet type.
Custom Pallet Flow Racking Tailored to Your Inventory Needs
Designing a pallet flow racking system based on your specific inventory requirements—such as pallet size, style, and load weight—is essential for optimal performance. Our gravity flow racking experts will work with you to determine whether wheel-track or roller-track systems are best suited to your application and customize the design accordingly.
