Back Mesh

Products Description

Pallet Rack Back Mesh Panels form a rigid barrier behind stored goods to reduce the risk of cartons, components or loose items falling from the rear of a rack. They are particularly useful where pallet racks face pedestrian walkways, workstations, machinery or other areas that require separation from stored inventory.

Unistar’s back mesh consists of framed steel mesh panels attached to pallet rack uprights. Panel dimensions, mesh opening and mounting offset should be matched to the rack width, stored goods and pallet overhang.

Back Mesh

Main Pallet Rack Back Mesh Panels Functions

  • Contain cartons and loose products at the rear of the rack

  • Separate stored goods from pedestrian routes

  • Protect workstations positioned behind pallet racks

  • Reduce the risk of smaller items falling between rack levels

  • Maintain visibility through the rear of the rack

  • Allow light and airflow through the protected area

  • Provide a rigid alternative to flexible safety netting

Rack at a boundary areaCreate a visible storage barrier
Back-to-back rackingProvide separation where specifically required
End of rack rowSide panels may be configured where needed

Pallet Rack Back Mesh Panels Mounting Options

  • Flush-mounted panels where no pallet overhang is required

  • Offset-mounted panels where pallets or goods extend beyond the frame

  • Individual panels for one rack bay

  • Continuous panels across multiple bays

  • Full-height or partial-height coverage

  • Brackets matched to the upright profile

  • Powder-coated or galvanized finish according to the environment

  • Custom mesh opening based on the smallest retained item

Selection and Safety Notes of Pallet Rack Back Mesh Panels

  • Mesh opening must be smaller than the items requiring containment.

  • Mounting offset must accommodate pallet overhang.

  • Panel height should cover the actual stored-load area.

  • Brackets must fit the rack upright and panel frame.

  • Standard panels should not be assumed to arrest a complete loaded pallet.

  • Required containment load must be specified for engineering review.

  • Back mesh does not replace pallet support or rack structural bracing.

  • Damaged panels and brackets should be replaced after significant impact.
